About Holtshøjen
Holtshøjen Holding A/S was established in 2012 as a single-family office for the Stæhr Andersen family, but our roots go all the way back to 1948, when Frode Laursen founded his transport business in Vitten with just one truck. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, the company grew steadily and established itself as a reliable transport partner for local customers.
In the 1970s, Frode Laursen significantly expanded the company: operations began serving larger retail customers, the first logistics centres were established, and a strong position within grocery distribution was built. By the end of the decade, the company had become a significant player with nationwide transport operations.
In the late 1980s, Thorkil Andersen took over the company. Under his leadership, the organisation was streamlined, the focus on logistics and warehousing was sharpened, and the company developed into a leading Northern European logistics player.
ATTA Foundation
ATTA Foundation was established with a strong ambition to give back to society. The idea emerged in the period 2007–2009, with a desire to support initiatives that create positive change within education, research, and innovation – particularly in the logistics industry.
The foundation’s work is driven by a vision to create lasting and meaningful improvements. We support projects that promote educational opportunities for dyslexic individuals, foster social mobility through education, and contribute to the development of the logistics industry through technological innovation and leadership education.
We believe that investing in people and their potential can create a better future for both individuals and society as a whole.
